Is there Scrivener for Linux, a Chromebook, or Android?

No. There is no Scrivener for Linux, ChromeOS, Android, or the web. Some writers run the Windows version under Wine, which is unsupported; the other route is an app that opens the project itself.

What Literature & Latte makes

Scrivener runs on macOS, 64-bit Windows, and iPhone and iPad. There was a Linux beta years ago, and it was abandoned. There is no Android version and no web version.

On Linux and a Chromebook

The workaround writers use is Wine, which runs Windows programs on Linux, with the Windows version of Scrivener inside it. A Chromebook can do the same once its Linux environment is turned on in Settings. People report it working. It is also unsupported, it can break when Wine updates, and on a low-powered Chromebook it can be slow enough to notice while typing.

If you try it, keep the project where your usual sync service reaches it, and close it on one machine before opening it on the next.

On Android

Nothing runs Scrivener itself. A few apps in the Play Store read a project so you can look at it on a phone, but reading is all they promise. Writing on Android means writing somewhere else and bringing the words back.

In Tabularia

Tabularia runs in the browser on all three, and it opens a .scriv project directly: zip the project, import the .zip, and the Draft becomes Chapters and Scenes. On a phone you get a single-column Studio; on a Chromebook, the full one.

The honest limit is the way back. Tabularia does not write a .scriv, so it suits a writer leaving Scrivener better than one who wants to keep using it on the Mac. To carry changes back, export a Word file and import that into Scrivener.

Try it on your own manuscript

Nothing is metered: as many projects as you like at any length, the outline and minimap to move through them, drafts and markup mode for revising, snapshots to return to, sheets and timelines beside the page, and export to DOCX, PDF, EPUB, HTML, Markdown, plain text and Fountain. Bring in what you have already written and read it back as a book.

The Cloud plan is $18 a month, or $172.80 a year, and adds backup, sync across your devices, sharing a manuscript for review, and publishing your work as a web page — the readers and collaborators you invite do not need a paid account of their own. Tabularia is in Public Beta and shipping steadily; the release notes record what has landed.
