Write your November novel here.
NaNoWriMo is gone, but November is still the month a lot of us finally write our book. For November only, code NOVEMBER20 takes 20% off Tabularia.

Built for the whole book
A November draft tends to spread out. Chapters end up in one file, character notes in another, and the scene you cut lives somewhere you’ll never find again. In Tabularia, all of that stays in one manuscript, so your book is always in one place.
Chapters and scenes sit in an outline beside the page, so any part of your book is a click away. Notes on people and places go in sheets next to the chapter you’re writing. Tie a character’s arc or a plot thread to the passages that carry it, and the timeline will take you straight back to your earlier chapter where it started.
Can’t decide how a scene should go? Write it both ways in an alternate draft, then merge back the version you like a difference at a time.
The page is typeset as a book while you write. On day nineteen, when your word count has started to feel like homework, watching real pages stack up helps more than you’d think.
Your goals and writing timer live in the header, so you always know whether today is done.

Get set up in a few minutes
- Create a free account. You can try everything before you buy, and nothing counts down until you press start, so you can set up now and begin on the 1st.
- Make a project for the novel and add a few chapter headings. That’s all the structure you need for now.
- Open the November Novel Calculator, put in your goal and any words you’ve already written, and press Set these goals in Tabularia. Your daily and total targets show up already filled in.
- Write one sentence about what your main character wants and what’s in the way. Then sketch the first few scenes.
Pick a goal you’ll actually hit
Fifty thousand words in thirty days works out to 1,667 a day. If you already know you’ll lose a few days to work or family, plan on twenty-five writing days and it’s 2,000.
You don’t have to do fifty thousand. Nobody’s checking. Finishing a draft you started last year counts, and so does finally getting through the chapter that’s been stuck since spring. Pick something you’ll recognize as done on November 30.
Starting partway through the month? That’s fine. The calculator spreads whatever’s left over the days remaining, so a late start just means a slightly bigger daily number.
20% off, for November only
Take 20% off the Local plan, or the first month or year of the Cloud plan. Buy this month and the discount comes off at checkout by itself, or enter NOVEMBER20 there yourself. The code lasts only through November. It stops working when November 30 ends, wherever you are.
Want to look around first? A free trial gives you everything, cloud sync and sharing included, with PDF and EPUB exports marked as proofs until you buy.
Your writing stays yours either way. If a trial ends before you buy, projects open read-only, you can still export Word or Markdown files or a full archive, and nothing turns into a subscription on its own.

Leave December a draft worth coming back to
Keep moving. When you hit a detail you don’t know yet, mark it and write on. Missed a day? Spread the words over the days you have left rather than writing off the month.
On the 30th, take a snapshot before you change anything. It keeps every word you wrote this month safe while you start revising.
Write alongside other people
Half the fun of NaNoWriMo was the crowd. A few groups are keeping that going this year, and you can join any of them while you write in Tabularia. Log your count with them at the end of each session.
- NaNo 2.0 is run by volunteers, NaNoWriMo founder Chris Baty among them. Its tracker opens on November 1, and you set your own goal.
- ProWritingAid’s Novel November is a free 50,000-word challenge with workshops and writing sprints.
- AutoCrit’s Novel 90 started on October 1 and gives you ninety days for 50,000 words, if one month feels too tight.
